My guild decided to run regular 10m Uldar runs and lucky for me, my group is the power progression group so we got so far as to “Crazy Cat Lady” before we decided that we need to farm the first few bosses…. though most of my upgrades would come from Crazy Cat Lady. lol. (Her name is Auriaya.) That was a learning process in itself. It’s nice to have to think for once on some bosses!

And being in Uldar, I understood the meaning of needing to be Affliction! I ran out of mana WAY too quick and wasn’t doing near the damage I thought I should be.  But I was happy to have had over 3k DPS on the bosses, though recount said I was only at 1.7k overall in damage…. Hmmm. Somethings not right. I’ll further explain my “cries” on that for in another post.

Aside from that, as my hubsand and I was working on our hunters, the server went down (and we just got our level 30 mounts to boot). So we decided to pay a visit to one of our friends on another server. I started a Draenei Mage, but got deleted and started a Paladin instead. (Much to the husband’s approval.) It was nice to have spent time with our friend Andy! (Even though she was Alliance now! Oh noes! What happened to the group chanting “FOR THE HORDE!” when we seen Alli in our area?)

Aside from that, we got a few new achievements: Shattered, The Siege of Ulduar, Hot Pocket, Heroic: Emalon the Storm Watcher, Nerf Gravity Bombs, Emalon the Storm Watcher, Heroic: Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom, Northrend Dungeon Hero, Emblem of Conquest, Denyin’ the Scion, Kel’Thuzad’s Defeat, The Fall of Naxxramas, Heroic: The Construct Quarter, Heroic: Sapphiron’s Demise, Heroic: Kel’Thuzad’s Defeat, Heroic: The Fall of Naxxramas and Orbital Bombardment.

I learned a few others but those are the progression group achievements! And what a progression group it was!

We had a paladin healer in our guild, she was a younger girl… since in high school. She was an ok healer I must admit. When she came to the guild I had already had negative thoughts on her. I remembered her going to heal for us and leaving us in the middle of an instance because her mother was throwing a hissy fit only to come back 10 minutes later and cuss everyone out because we couldn’t group back up and she was now saved to an instance she didn’t complete.

Anyways, she bitches because she can’t raid as long as the other guild members because she’s in school and it’s not fair to her about her missing out on DKP and everyone will always out bid her and how is she supposed to get geared when she doesn’t have any DKP and blah blah blah whine whine whine.

Can you tell I don’t like her?

We told her to just come for as long as you can. We only have about 3 or 4 pally healers so after a few repeated bosses she’d be able to nab the gear easily if she didn’t have the DKP for it. We understand she has a life outside of Wow and tried to accomidate her. The hubby even passed on two items that were upgrades for him and she won them.

The one thing that drives me nuts is her constant bitching that she can’t keep up in the healing because she goes OOM and whines when the hubby heals and never goes OOM and she’s got more of a mana pool than him. Shenever understood how he over healed more, healed more and never went OOM. I tried to explain to her to check his spec to hers, check for correct gear, check for glyphs, etc. I TRIED TO BE NICE.

LAST STRAW: We were in a middle of a boss fight and she was the 2nd healer on the main tank with a druid healer. (The hubby went DPS for awhile.) SHE GOT UP and LEFT the battle to go god knows where in the middle of the battle. From the records posted in the raid chat from the healing logs, she didn’t heal him from 59% to dead, only the druid healer did. She even said in raid chat she got up….. but nevertheless we wiped.

So I made a comment to the raid leader about the fact she left unannounced during the boss fight for something stupid and something needed to be said. What was done? She had DKP taken away from her, 20 DKP. She went off in vent and cussed up a storm. A few people told her why it was happening and that it was a guild rule and a raid rule to not leave in a boss fight while you’re alive, etc. etc.

The GM gave her an out and she cussed him out apparently, thus resulting in….. HER GUILD KICK! Woot! No more bitching.

Erm, so sad to see her go…… I meant. Really. Heh.

We finally went to a DKP system and everything is silent bidding in the guild. NO MORE ROLLING. WOOT!

Cowl of Innocent Delight, I know it’s more a priest head piece but we had trees and pallys in our group, no priests and I decided the upgrade in stats and spellpower was worth it for a few DKP until mine actually dropped.

I got Valorous Plagueheart Leggings while the hubby and I decided to do 25m VOA while in Wintergrasp fishing and the fight started. Something that happened while we were there? Our good friend Andy logged on after taking a break from Wow and whispered us! She got to come in with us and do some good ole fashioned Horde ass kicking! Welcome back buddy!

And some other random upgrades: Band of Neglected Pleas, Disguise of the Kumiho and Surplus Limb.

Seeing how things are back to their old swings, I have to report that we’ve been really busy with getting new gear, titles, pets, achievements and even some new discoveries!

We did all the Noble Garden quests and achievements getting the title of “the Noble.” We nabbed the pet “Spring Rabbit’s Foot” and watched as our rabbits…. “Spring Flinged” 26 times with kids each time before we figured out that we needed to seperate in order for them to stop.

The hardest things to find in “Shake Your Bunny-Maker“? Female Orcs, Gnomes and Dwarfs!

We also took a pit stop in Feralas and nabbed a Sprite Darter Egg and are proud owners of a rare Horde pet.

We also decided to go do the Skywing quest and nab Miniwing.

I did research on Rosalyne for my Alchemy and FINALLY learned Crazy Alchemist Potion. No more begging to trade chat about finding someone to make it and fighting with the one I do fight about “Yes I am an Alchemist with 400 Alchemy and yes I know I can discover it….” lol.

But since things are back to normal and we came back to patch 3.1 (and another update) you’ll see me posting *COUGH*bitching*COUGH* in no time.

We went after Gothik, The Four Horseman and Patchwerk last night.

Usually, my guild sticks to the “honor system” which is if someone rolls once and wins an item, they can not roll again on gear that run unless no one calls it for main spec and they may roll for that item in the off-spec roll before it’s given to the guild enchanter to disenchant for the abyss crystals. (Once there is ten, everyone receives a crystal.)

My ring dropped on Gothik, Signet of the Malevolent, but I decided not to roll. The shadow priest got it. The Four Horseman was next and I had a chance for my robes! We get to the FHM (Four Horseman), and guess what drops! My Gown of Blaumeux! I didn’t get a chance to roll on it… guess who got it. The shadow priest. By the time I rolled, he had already recieved it.

I was a little upset at this point, but remembered that I had topped the DPS charts this entire run and I normally do, and he’s only pulling a little under 2k. He needs the upgrades more than me. Though, I do get frustrated that I only roll on the pieces I know I need, even if it is an upgrade for me. I refuse to take other gear for other classes when they need it more than me. It’s selfish.

Also, on the FHM’s chest…. the Chestguard of the Lost Conqueror dropped and the hubby asked me if he could roll on it. (We try not to roll against eachother and see who needs the upgrades more then roll. Reminder of he’s a Holy Paladin.) I told him I don’t need it since I already had my tier7 chest. He rolled and won! But guess who else rolled…. THE SHADOW PRIEST!

Moving on to Patchwerk, still upset that I lost my rings and my robe to a shadow priest….. we one shot Patchwerk and guess what drops! Your right, my Drape of Surgery! I rolled….. a 2. The shadow priest rolled… AGAIN and the resident mage rolled a 77. I lost all my gear that dropped for me in the multiple runs I have taken the group through. I was a livid at this time.

I don’t roll on anything aside from a few select pieces and my group knows this. They know I am looking for select pieces and even if the item is an upgrade and I am the only one that could use it, I still give the item to the enchanter because it wasn’t my piece. I have recieved one item from all 4 of our runs and not asked for anything. The one time my gear drops and I say it’s the stuff I am looking for…. you would think I’d be given a little ….. honor on a few pieces afterwards? Nope.

Now is the quesiton… do I remain true to my honor system of only rolling on a few pieces and passing the others or do I roll on every piece that drops that could upgrade me? I don’t want to be a shadow priest loot ninja but…. I don’t want to get passed up again either.

And I must stress, it’s just a running joke though this one kid took is seriously and has been rather annoying lately.

Rogue, just recently turned 80. Claimed to have spent over 2k in gold (which prices on my server, I don’t disagree with him) on crafted epic gear so he could have the minimal 1300 DPS in order to do some of the lower heroics to get gear. Kudos to you! We’re glad you did your homework.

The problem? He thinks that everyone is higher in gear that him is going to drop everything to gear him up in this higher in difficulty instances to gear him up so we can bring him to Naxx.

Um, no?

I looked up my gear in the instances, looked up the difficulty level of the instances, had to learn another class (paladin [the hubby]) plus learn the needed stats for two completely different specs (Retribution and Holy).  We did the lower level instances over and over again until we had a good DPS and moved up in the instance levels. We studied the bosses in the instances to know what they did so we wouldn’t wipe.  We did all this hard work and even with our low instance only epics, the hubby and I were geared for Heroic Eye of Eternity. :0)

Why can’t other people do the same or at least HALF of the work we did? Why do these people think they are going to join a raid guild to run THEM through instances to get THEM geared when the whole POINT of a raid guild is bringing like players together to be in something where other players are looking to run instances and the end man content as well. It’s just to HELP you find people to raid so pugging a complete group is unlikely not to get YOU geared so you can come run Naxx with the better players.

I used to like to help people, and I still do, but I refuse to help people that will not first help themselves. I refuse to help players that will not do the homework that so many others have before them. Many think being in this guild is getting to my head and I am becoming stuck up and thinking I’m oh so elite from being on the top 5 DPS list when we run most guild raids.

Am I full of myself, or do I have a likely complaint?

I’ve been a rather little busy bee! And when we ran Heroic Halls of Lightning, I finally got to replace my Cyanigosa’s Leggings with Woven Bracae Leggings and when I hit exalted with the Wyrmrest Accord I got to retire my Titan-forged Boots of Dominance into my PvP gear and replace it with some PvE raid gear (Sandals of Crimson Fury). Now if I can only get the last 12 emblems for my tier gloves and get my head and shoulder pieces.

And of course we all know that when you get exalted with the Wyrmrest Accord, you get access to the Reins of the Red Drake and I got one.. but it’s weird trying to land the damn thing! It’ll “land” but the drake will be still “fly” in the ground. I have to move forever or backwards to “land” and I got ganked on few herbs because of it. But I must say it’s more awesome than the Swift Purple Wind Rider that I was ridin’ around on.

Out of shape? Need to get in shape? Can’t seem to find the motivation to run and work out those extra pounds now that you have a riding mount? No problem! Seek out a fellow Warlock, annoy them and BAM! You’ll be feared and running in no time!

By the time the Warlock has come to be done playing with their new toy… erm, I mean, helping you with your physical exercise, you will have lost those annoying pounds and be able to eat whatever you want! (Just stay away from the Noggenfogger potion…)
